The world I've seen from here is not much different from the world I saw while I was there except to say that it is luminous.  There is a difference in how you see the world from here, because it is a world of light, when, when you're on Earth, it looks so dark and helpless sometimes.  It isn't dark, and the reason is because for every dark action, there is such a rush of light from the souls who want to keep it light, that the dark never has a chance.  It is so hard to see that from where you are because you have to have faith that it is all for a good reason and purpose, and it can be hard to continue to see that from your vantage point - when most of what you see is destruction and despair.  How can you compete with that?  It's depressing and it seems too heavy to carry, much less to heal and bring light to.

But you don't have to feel like you need to take on so much.  There is a world of good hearts taking on so much.  Take on what you can.  It may seem small to you, but it makes such a world of difference - literally.  It actually does make the world look different, the moment you put love into it.  The world is like a plant that thirsts for water, and the moment it gets it, the wilting leaves strengthen and its flowers blossom.  And that's what happens to the earth when you send positive and healing energy into it - it strengthens and grows.

There is still work to be done.  The world is hurting and bruised and needs all the positive energy it can get.  But I want to say that the good thing about times of trouble and crisis is that people can't wait to pour their hearts into a solution, and care for those who most need it.  It's faith that most keeps us going when times are dark.  And it's faith that shines the brightest just when you need it most.  It creates opportunities and inspires others to hang on, too.

What you see the most in the wake of Katrina is peoples' ability to go beyond what they thought they had in them - both the parties who have been displaced, and those who have come to their rescue.  Sometimes the world shakes so violently because it is creating change for so many people at once.

Those who lost their homes have not lost their lives; they are entering new stages of their lives.  Those who did lose their lives are here now - warm, loved and well protected by the droves of souls and angels who showed up to care for them - just like the droves of souls and angels still on Earth showed up for their loved ones, and are doing all they can to make sure they are warm, loved and well protected.

Do not despair.  There is great love on Earth and there are human angels there always to give love to the needy.  All you can do is all you can do.  But you can do plenty - a lot more than you think.
