I know that people hold me to a certain standard, as they do for people who are here for such a short time, who make a loud noise in the time they are here. James Dean would tell you the same. They put you in a category that you could not possibly reach if you had lived, and the fact that you went quickly is something that works for people, because they can have you in the box they had you in during your life. There is no opportunity for you to grow into your 50s and see your life from another perspective and to tell them, no, you know, that’s kind of who I thought I was, too, but turns out, this is who I am; this is what all that was about. Had I turned 35, or 40, or 50, my music would have changed, I would have changed, my life would have been different and I could have seen it another way and my work, had I continued it, would have reflected it. But since that didn’t happen, there is just this one part of my life that was lived out in the public eye, and it was an immature and narrow-viewed one.
I’m glad for the work I did and I’m not knocking it, and I’m certainly not knocking the people who loved it. This is just something I’ve come to understand in my death from earth and rebirth into what we’ve called Heaven. There are so many great minds here and so much to learn. I wish the music I am writing now, I could publish there. Maybe next time around, I’ll bring it with me.
Thanks to you guys who still talk to me. You really get it. There are some of you in particular, who will be drawn to read this passage, and will know that I am talking to you. Don’t think you’re crazy. You’re not. This message is for you. Open your minds to the possibilities of heaven and the connections between where you are and where we are. The curtain is very very thin. And I talk very very loud.
Take care of your bodies and keep your minds open.
